Dear Parents, On our class website there is a prezi that can be used to practice their sight words for Look out Teddy (16 words) and The lost ball (8 words so far). We use that in class and it may be useful at home. We will do a word check on the Look out Teddy words at the end of this week.

Note on Word Wallet: We are revising our words from last year’s readers. I have provided a word wallet in your child’s folder. This is to be used to store our words. It should be stored in the child’s homework folder. I will add the words to the wallet as we introduce them.
Word Wallet Activities.
1. You can ask your child to read and spell the words to you.
2. You can make up sentences for your child to read.
3. Get your child to make up sentences for you.
If your child has difficulties with the word ask them to sound it out. Eg Kitty K-i-t-t-y or has h-a-s. This skill of sounding out or attacking a word will help with many new words in the future.
Some sentences for reading.
Look at Kitty. Look at the dog. Dad is at the door. The girl has a doll. Teddy is on the bed. Look at Finn. My ball is yellow and blue. Finn found a big ball.
