Green-schools

St Anne's primary school is a green school. We have 4 green flags. We got our first green flag in 1999. This year we are aiming for our fifth green flag. The Green schools committee is made up of 5th and 6th class pupils. There are 7 pupils on the committee each term. The committee meets  up once a month. At these meetings we make plans and discuss how to make the school greener. Mrs O' Brien helps us with our plans. This year we have Get Fit Friday where we encourage pupils to walk to school every Friday. Last year we had walk on Wednesday where we encourage pupils to walk, on Wednesday The class that had the most walkers received the Golden Boot Award. In each classroom there are three bins one is a com-poster for food and fruit, one is for recycling and the other is for general waste.
